About

About the Journal

The Tetso Journal of North East India Studies is an annual peer-reviewed journal published by Tetso College, Nagaland. The purpose of the journal is to encourage scholarships in the North East region of India, which has been a rather unexplored and under-represented area in academia. The North East region of India is characterized by its multifarious facets of ethnicity, historicity, spatiality, economy and socio-cultural dynamics. The region is also significant because of its shared international borders with Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and Myanmar; and its cultural affinities with the South East Asian countries. The states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim constitute the North East region of India. Recognizing the diverse aspects of the region, the journal seeks to engage in interdisciplinary works which reflect academic quality of scientific research, theoretical, archival materials or book reviews related to North-East India.
